Cases of enzootic myoglobinuria of horses in Riga district

The three forms of enzootic myoglobinuria of horses are explained. The development of the disease its symptoms, diagnostics and methods of treatment are discussed. Four cases of 2,5 year old horses affected by this disease in Riga district in 1996 are described. The horses were kept in one stable and died in 7-8 days. The circumstances of the disease development, clinical signs and morphological findings have been analysed, the results of the analyses are presented.
