Investigations have been carried out in the period of last 10 years with the aim to determine the effect of antibiotics for the treatment of diseases caused by pathogenous microorganisms. 26653 pure cultures of twelve genera microorganisms have been used in the experiments. It has been stated that the effect of antibiotics is rather diverse. The most resistant to antibiotics are gramnegative pathogenous microorganisms. For the treatment of diseases caused by these microorganisms penicill in and eritromicin should be avoided. The most effective of the 8 antibiotics are levomicetin and neomicin. For an effective and stable treatment of mastitis neomicin, glutamicin and bytrin are recommended.
