Morphology of horse colic in Latvia investigated by M.Skudina

M.Skudina had necropsied 924 horses that died of colic in the period of time from 1921 till 1951. That made 36.7% of all necropsied horses. Most often horses. Most often horses died of colic at 7-12 years of age in the summer months. There were diagnosed 21.69% of spasmodic (spastic) colic; 10.39% of paralytic colic; 66.74% of mechanic colic and 1.19% of thromboembolic colic.
