The aim of the research was to record the heart electrical activity of clinically healthy Cocker Spaniel breed dogs of different ages using the 12-lead system as well as to analyse the recorded ECG according to the animals' age and physiological condition. ECG were recorded and primarly processed by means of a special measurement program. Animals were divided into 3 groups af age: (1) till 12 months of age; (2) from 1-8 years old dogs; (3) older than 8 years. The recorded and analysed electrocardiagrams show that it is not possible to reveal characteristic electrophysiological deviation by the first three-lead ECG. The primary processing of ECG proves that V5 lead indices of ECG change little during the life-time of Cocker Spaniel breed dogs.
