The research deals with feline hyperthyroidism - a common endocrine disorder encountered in middle-aged and older cats. The causes, clinical signs and symptoms of the disease are described. The way of establishing the diagnosis is explained. Three types of treatment - medical, surgical and radioactive iodine therapy - are discussed. Post operative complications in case of surgical treatment are explained.
