Evaluation of boar semen quality by sperm chromatin structure assay

The aim of our research has been to evaluate spermatozoa nucleus chromatin quality in boars by sperm chromatin structure assay. The sperm of five boars of different breeds aged from six months to three years has been tested. Chromatin condensation was evaluated on sperm smears after orange acridine staining. Sperm heads were without defects as they were stained green.
