[Parasitosis of horses and its control]

Investigations have been performed to establish the distribution of horses' parasitosis in Latvia. For that purpose the authors have used the results of the research carried out at the LUA Veterinary Medicine Faculty Pathology and Parasitology department as well as the diagnostic data of regional veterinary laboratories. The most widely distributed parasites and the disease caused by them have been established. Treatment and control methods as well as the most effective medical preparations have been analysed and are suggested.
