The influence of soil tillage and use of mineral fertilizers on weediness and yield of winter wheat in Western Lithuania

A complex research on soil tillage (three treatments) and use of mineral fertilizers (three levels) was started at Kaltinenai Research Station of the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture on hilly-rolling relief in 1995. The data on winter wheat yield and weediness of crop stand are presented. It was determined that soil tillage treatments had no statiscally significant effect on the number and weight of weeds in the stand of winter wheat. The greater the rates of mineral fertilizers were used, the less the number and weight of weeds were registered, and higher the yield of the crop was obtained
