[Effect of herbicides applied on late cabbage]

In 1995-1996 trials were carried out at the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture and Vegetable Growing to establish rates and time of herbicide application on late cabbage. The herbicides Stomp (3 l/ha) and Butisan C (1,5 l/ha) applied before planting cabbage seedling were efficient in killing perennial, biennial and annual weeds and increased the total and marketable yield of cabbage. The herbicides were not effective in the wet soil. When Butisan C was applied on rooted cabbage seedlings fewer weeds were killed, though there was no negative influence on the yield
