English. The influence of native beneficial insects on the yellow pecan aphids, Monellia caryella (Fitch) and Monelliopsis pecanis Bissel was studied during three years. Natural control was efficient in regulating aphid populations, but generally occurred above action threshold. It was observed that the presence of a complex of natural enemies is necessary for efficient predation. When density of yellow aphids was regulated above action threshold and maintained in that level for four or more weeks, the pecan treees suffered from defoliation and sooty mold. Se estudio durante tres anos la influencia de los insectos depredadores nativos sobre la poblacion de los afidos amarillos Monellia caryella (Fitch) y Monelliopsis pecanis Bissel en nogal pecanero (Carya illinoensis Wang). Se encontro que los depredadores son eficaces en regular densidad poblacional de los afidos, lo cual generalmente ocurre por encima del umbral de accion. Se observo que es importante la presencia de todo un conjunto de enemigos naturales para que la depredacion sea eficaz. Una densidad de afidos regulada por encima del umbral de accion y mantenida asi por cuatro o mas semanas, permite que los nogales sufran defoliacion y la presencia de fumagina. Los depredadores mas consistentes fueron las crisopas verdes y la catarinita gris Olla v-nigrum
