Stomach content analysis of 134 specimens of Mus musculus (house mouse) captured from village houses during different season indicated that wheat accounted for 50.6 percent of the total dry weight followed by maize, millet/sorghum 11.3 percent and rice (8.2 percent) with gram as lowest (1.0 percent) during the Summer season. A similar percentage of dry weight of wheat (50.0 percent) was found during Autumn season with sugarcane 90.9 percent and unknown 0.9 percent as minimum food items. Vegetable parts of plants on an average for four seasons constituted (30.6 percent) of the total weight of the diet. Berger-Parker index was same for three seasons except Spring season when the diet of mice became less varied as wheat predominated in their diet. In case of farm houses wheat emerged dominant food item (54.8 percent), followed by weeds (22.1 percent) and gram (18.5 percent).
