Optimum dose of stomp-330E to control the weeds in carrot

The treatments to control the weeds in carrot crop consisted Stomp-330E @ 3.75, 3.125 and 2.50 L ha-1, hand weeding and un- weeded (control). The pooled analysis indicated that the number of weeds/m2 and carrot yield were influenced significantly by different treatments. Excluding the hand weeding (12.33 weeds/m2) minimum number of weeds/m2 (40.17) was recorded in the plots sprayed with Stomp 330E @ 3.75 L ha-1 compared with other doses and control. Carrot yield obtained from Stomp-330E @ 3.75 L ha-1, treated plot (436.91 q ha-1) was significantly higher than other doses and control (un-weeded) but statistically at par with hand weeding (459.76 q ha-1).
