Ten Trichoderma isolates T. viride, T. glaucum, T. harzianum, Trichoderma from yam, Trichoderma from corn, Trichoderma from coconut trunk (FI50) and Trichoderma isolates from cassava roots (FI7, FI37 and FI44) were tested in vitro using the dual culture technique against Phytophthora colocasiae. Based on the ability to lyze the mycelia, T. viridae, Trichoderma isolate from yam and the Trichoderma isolate from coconut trunk were found most antagonistic. In pot experiments, application of the three potential Trichoderma isolates separately or from peanut, in combination to the pathogen showed no infection in plants inoculated with Trichoderma isolates alone and two isolates, namely, T. viridae and isolate from coconut trunk (FI50) with P. colocasiae
