Effect of marcotting media on the development and establishment of rose (Rosa spp.)

The treatments used were the marcotting media which are as follows: T1 - sphagnum moss, T2 - 1:1 sieved garden soil, compost and T3 - sieved garden soil. The results of the experiments revealed the following: The most number and longest roots 30 days after marcotting were obtained from Treatment 1 (sphagnum moss). Percentage survival 30 days after marcotting was highest when sieved garden soil was used. The most number of lateral stem, and the highest height increment 30 days after transplanting was obtained from Treatment 1 (sphanum moss)
