Effect of nitrogen dose and middle planting of barley on seed yield of carrot grown with method seed-to-seed

During two years studies were done with barley middle planting to protect carrot plants (cv.Java and Regulska) against frost in method seed-to-seed. Nitrogen dertilization 50 and 100 kg per ha before winter and the same doses after winter were to reduce a competitive effect of barley in middle growing with carrot. Regulska overwintered better than Jawa, but had lower seed productivity. Increased nitrogen dose did not improve plant growth, had no effect on plant wintering, seed yield and their germiation
