Within technical plants sugar has a special importance, being an intensive rewarding crop. The study carried out has an aim to find out some opportunities to reduce labour, especially in private exploitations, by introducing new mechanised harvesters for sugar beet. By using the harvester "Montagna" type, made by "Mecanica Ceahlau" company in Piatra Neamt, labour was reduced seven times and harvesting and expenses decreased over 30. It is necessary to go on stimulating producers, in order to extend the surface occupied by sugar beet and increasing efficiencies at hectar, by their association for the correct application of growing technology.
