[The influence of abscisic acid on callus evolution at some winter wheat genotypes (Triticum aestivum L.)]

Calli derived from immature embryos four winter wheat genotypes were used to investigate the in vitro reaction at two concentration of ABA (2 mg/l and 4 mg/l). The effect of ABA treatment was determined by the expression of the mean weight of calli for all genotypes studied. Fresh weight of calli was recorded before and after treatment. The results concerning the reduction of the callus weight determined by ABA, was in good agreement with their reaction to hidric stress but not with their reaction to frost resistance.
