The study deals with services for agricultural enterprises. Emphasis is placed on biological, technical and other specialized services in the agricultural and food processing complex. Agrarian services in the district of Prievidza (Slovak Republic) are also analysed. The development in agriculture during the last 7 years has affected the connected services. Service businesses show decreasing loss. Positive tendencies have been registered especially in the private sphere. The work describes some proposals especially in the area of technical services related to crop production. The results of the research point to their importance, since they influence the whole reproduction process in agriculture. They will gradually change, depending on the structure of crop and animal production. Also, they will have to adapt to the new requirements of agricultural enterprises
