Special attention is given to a final complex report on the project Agricultural Systems Based on Grassland Management in Upland and Mountain Regions. The report was worked out by the staff of the Grassland and Mountain Agriculture Research Institute at Banska Bystrica (Slovak Republic) in 1995. Explanations and comments are presented by the project coordinator. The methodology of the research is defined and the main principles of the environment and ecology-friendly management in low-input agriculture are given. Assessment of experimental systems introduced into some of the transformed cooperative farms in the highlands is provided
