Study aimed to determine the appropriate population density of groundnut cv. Khon Kaen 60-3 for seed multiplication. These included equal seed size and high quantity of seed per producing area. The experiment was conducted by varying the number of hills in a square m at equidistance between row and pland. The treatments comprised of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 hills per squarem and 2 rates of number of plants per hill (ie., 1 and 2 plants/hill) These gave population density between 5 to 50 plant per squarem. The results showed that the proper population seed producing was at 20 plants per squarem which produced the highest yield. The results also revealed that there were not significant difference in the proportions of the three seed sizes (small, medium, large) Moreover, these three seed size did not give significant difference in the percentage of seed germination. Thus, medium and small seeds should be used for seed in order to reduce the cost of production.
