The aim of work is to find out solutions for increasing lab or productivity in the polygon parlour on the basis of the results of investigation. The investigation comprised of detailed time recording of milkers labour. Dominant results are: larger amount of milk obtained at morning milking caused that milkers time used per cow was larger in the morning milking (50.51 s) than in the evening (42.52 s); labour productivity of milker in the polygon parlour was higher (5.09-5.13, average 5.11 min/1000 cubic dm of milk) than in the "herringbone" parlour (6.73-8.99, average 7.51 min/100 cubic dm); the biggest effect on labour productivity of milker has the amount of milk obtained (milk yield of cows), method of milking and type of parlour, routine and motivation of milker for work.
