Comparative investigations of more important economic characteristics of some hazelnut varieties in Banja Luka area [Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina]

The experiment with four hazelnut varieties was established in four replications with by 2 trees so that each variety was represented with 8 trees. In this paper, the results of comparative investigation of more important characteristics of the following hazelnut varieties, worked out: Tonda Djentile Romana, Istarski dugi, Rimski and Lambert beli. Morphological characteristics of tree and crown, time of ripening, fruitfulness, fruit mass and its economic characteristics, were investigated. In this paper, the adventages of some varieties grown in this area, are emphasized.
