Effect of sowing date on the production characteristics of carrot

Carrot was sown over the spring (March) and summer (July) months. Spring sowing has significantly increased root weight, on average by 31.78 g. Leaf weight per plant was higher in the case of summer sowing. On average the difference in leaf weight was 21.67 g. The difference between plant weight was insignificant. On average plant weight amounted to 152.77 and 142.66 g. Carrot yield was higher in the spring sown trial plots. The difference in yield was on average 23.84 t/ha.
