A pilot trial was performed with nearly 300 chicks housed in 3 groups (pens) - nearly 100 chicks per pen. Under the same housing and feeding conditions, for watering chicks were used water from the urban water system (Pozarevac town, Serbia, Yugoslavia), mineral water "Vujcic" (the Vujcic parcel, Serbia, Yugoslavia) and mineral water "Marko Leko" (Smederevska Palanka town, Serbia, Yugoslavia). At the end production (42 days) the highest average body weight was in chicks on mineral water "Vujcic" (1949 g), than in chicks on mineral water "Marko Leko" (1904 g), and the lowest on urban water (780 g). The differences in body weight between urban water, on one side, and mineral waters, on the other side, were very significant or significant.
