Research in Wallonia (southern Belgium) and numerous observations during nearly 20 years by various authors and members on the "Section Orchidees d'Europe des Naturalistes belges" have led to a reappraisal of the occurrence, the systematics and the nomenclature of Walloon orchid species. The present paper describes succinctly the present situation and dynamics in Wallonia and adjacent regions of Epipactis palustris, Listera ovata, Goodyera repens, Platanthera bifolia, Platanthera chlorantha, Gymnadenia conopsea, Dactylorhiza majalis, Dactylorhiza praetermissa, Dactylorhiza fuchsii, Dactylorhiza maculata, Dactylorhiza ericetorum, and Orchis morio, and evokes some systematic and nomenclatural uncertainties for Platanthera bifolia, Gymnadenia conopsea, Dactylorhiza praetermissa, D. maculata s.l., and D. ericetorum.
