The purpose of the present study was to examine the influence of inoculation of various Azospirillum strains on different cereals in terms of nitrogenase activity and plant growth. The results obtained in this experiment point out a possibility of enhancing yield of cereals due to seed inoculation with various Azospirillum. The data also support the need for preliminary strain and plant selection to obtain beneficial plant-bacteria associations.
