Comparative study on reproductive performance of hybrid sows (Landrace x English Large White) insemination by purebred and hybrid boars

Three groups of replacement Landrace x English Large White hybrid sows were set up simultaneously for study of final sire form genotype influence on reproductive performance of sows.The first group was inseminated by Landrace x Duroc hybrid boars, II group - by Duroc, III group - by hybrid boars, respectively.All the groups were reared in similar environmental condition.The obtained resuits have sown that the final sire form genotype has no influence on the number of piglets at birth and at 21st day, but the piglets produced by the hybrid boars are heavier by 50 g at birth as compared to the purebred boar's projeny.
