Fattening and slaughter indices of hybrid pigs with Hampshire and Pietrain as terminal sire breed and of purebred pigs of Danube White breed

An experiment of fattening of 3 groups of 18 pigs each: I group - Danube White (DW), II group - DW x Landrace (CH) x Hampshire (H) and III group - (DW x CH) X Pietraine (P) was carried out.The following results have been obtained: average daily gain 679g, 652g and 624g, fodder per 1 kg gain 3.376kg, 3.737kg and 3.937kg.The pigs have been individually fattening upto 100kg live weight.The progeny of P had worse fattening and slaughter indices and those of H were in intermediale position.
