Using the new methods with 125I labelled phytochrome the target-proteins for phytochrome in plant cell organelles were detected. The molecular weights of these proteins were 53, 32, 27 and 23 kDa in tonoplast, 35 and 32 kDa in mitochondria and 56, 44 and 42 kDa in chloroplasts
