The content of Pb, Cd and Hg in plants

The content Pb, Cd and Hg in plants depends on the biological feature of plants and on the content of heavy metals in the soil. The richer in content Pb, Cd and Hg in the soil the more heavy metals can be found in the plants. Depending on the Hg content in the soil the part of Hg in the ryegrass makes up 0.011...0.694 per cent of those in the soil. The uptaken part of Hg in radish varies from 0.015 to 0.199. In the case of adding Hg into the soil the total amount of Hg in the yield of ryegrass made up 0.006...0.020 per cent of which of added into the soil. The uptake of Cd by plants was lower than of Hg and made up 0.20...0.39 in ryegrass and 0.06...0.12 per cent in the radish. Depending on the amount of the added Cd into the soil the assimilated part made up 0.15...0.47 per cent in ryegrass and 0.05...0.20 in radish. As Pb compounds are not so moveable in the soil the uptake of Pb by plants is lower and makes up 0.012...0.132 per cent in the ryegrass and 0.005...0.061 in the radish.
