The eight-toothed bark beetle, Ips Typographus L. is a serious pest of coniferous forests in Georgia. The phitosanitary state of coniferous forest of Borjomi ravine has been established. At present the number of injurious trees together with the European spruce bark-beetle, dendroctonus micans Kugeldjes not exceed 3-4%.
