The effect of leaf fertilizers on the growth of oil palm plantlet derived from in-vitro propagation in the prenursery

A factorial experiment on the application of leaf fertilizers on oil palm plantlet derived from in-vitro propagation was done to find out kind and concentration level of leaf fertilizer which could enhance growth of the plantlet in the prenursery. Statistical analysis showed that the interaction of two factors were not significant. Application of leaf fertilizers did not show significant effect on the growth parameters except on chlorophyll contents. In general, Supermes fertilizer has shown tendency to increase number of leaflets, collar diameter, plantlet height and relative growth rate of leaf area. Greenzit Super tended to increase leaf area and relative growth rate of plantlet dry weight, and significantly affected leaf chlorophyll content. Concentration of 2 cc/l of leaf fertilizers was effective to increase vegetative growth of oil palm planlets derived from in-vitro propagation in the prenursery

Percobaan pemupukan melalui daun telah dilakukan pada bibit kelapa sawit hasil perbanyakan in-vitro untuk mencari jenis dan konsentrasi pupuk daun yang dapat merangsang pertumbuhan dibanding dengan pemupukan melalui tanah. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara jenis dan konsentrasi pupuk. Pupuk daun Supermes cenderung meningkatkan diameter batang, tinggi bibit, jumlah daun dan pertambahan relatif luas daun. Sedangkan pupuk daun Greenzit Super cenderung meningkatkan luas daun dan pertambahan relatif bobot kering bibit serta berpengaruh nyata pada peningkatan kadar klorofil daun. Konsentrasi pupuk daun 2 cc/l sudah cukup baik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif bibit kelapa sawit asal kultur jaringan di prapembibitan
