1999
Baniuniene, A. (Lithuanian Inst. of Agriculture, Dotnuva (Lithuania). Perloja Research Station)
Over 1993-1996 the trial of winter cereals productivity was conducted on sandy loam soil. Two triticale varieties such as 'Bolero' and 'Dar Belorusiji', the tetraploid rye variety 'Rukai and wheat variety 'Sirvinta 1' were tested in it. The tests showed that the dentest stand and the best overwintering were of the rye variety 'Rukai' and the triticale variety 'Dar Belorusiji'. On over 88 of them persisted after winter. In autumn the rye variety 'Rukai' tillered best and grew productive stems most of all (363 un/Square m) and spring triticale 'Bolero' tillered most vigorously. The most productive of tested winter crops was tetraploid rye 'Rukai' (3.9 t/ha). The yields of both triticale varieties were similar 3.2-3.4 t/ha.
