The effect of retardants and physiological analogues of auxin on the wintering of wheat Mironovskaja 808 and rape Accord was studied. 2-chlorethyltrimethylammonium chloride, dimethylsulphoxide and an original compound 3-DMC of quaternary ammonium salts were found to insignificantly increase the overground mass of wheat in autumn and the content of monosaccharides in node of bunch, whereas their effect on crops was insignificant. An original auxin-type compound TA-14 and compound 17-DMC of quaternary ammonium salts showed a positive effect on the autumnal development of rapes and their preparation for wintering: they enhanced leaf formation and growth, monosaccharides accumulation in root collum, development of vegetative cone and vegetative apex. The effect of these compounds was also beneficial for root system formation in rapes: root mass increased under the effect of TA-14 by 69 and of 17-DMC by 57 if compared with the control.
