Aftereffect of maturity at harvesting on apple quality during storage

In the given research the degree of apple maturity for harvesting and the apple storages for a longer preservation of good-quality fruit have been studied. The summed-up investigation results are presented. Apple maturity at harvesting has been determined for a number of different varieties, their quality has been compared and the optimum stage of maturity has been established. The experimental material is described in details. Provisional observations of the most appropriate harvesting time for a number of varieties have been obtained. The maturity testing criteria for each of the investigated variety are explained.
