[Oil palm seed size and nursery performance]

Early bearing of oil palm comes from the planting of healthy seedlings from the nursery. Contrary to general perception, different oil palm seed sizes do not give rise to different seedling size as observed in this study. Instead, good nursery practices and fertilization is stressed.
