[Growth regulators and type of growing medium effect on the rooting of kalanchoe cuttings] | Efecto de reguladores del crecimiento y tipo de sustrato en el enraizamiento de kalanchoe

English. Three growing media and 3 artificial mixes with 3 growth regulators were evaluated as rooting media for Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (Poelln.) 'Sensation' cuttings. The growing media, press mud (CA), peat-moss (PM) and volcanic rock (TE) were used alone and mixed in proportion 1:1:1 weight/weight (W/W) in CA+PM+TE (ME), CA+PM 1:1, and CA+TE 1:1. The commercial rootings used were Radix R (Ra) 1500 (with 1500 ppm indole-3-butiric acid); Rootone F R (Ro) with 0.057% 1-naphaleneacetamide + 0.033% 2-methyl-1-naphthaleneacetic acid + 0.013% 2-methyl-1-naphthaleneacetamide + 0.057% indole-3-butyric acid + 4% thiram and the salicylic acid (AS) in rank reagent in 10sup-5 M. The results with highly significant differences were found in the number of roots (NR) for CA+PM and Ra (32.5); in the average length of roots (LRP) in ME with Ra (1.44 cm); the root exploration (ER) in CA+PM without growth regulator (6.2 cm); in plant height (AP) also in this mixture with AS (5.8 cm); the highest average in dry weight(PSP) was found in TE with AS (1.25 g); in the nutrimental content (%) of nitrogen (N) was higher in PM with Ra (1.19 %); in phosphorus (P) for ME without growth regulator (0.5 %), and finally in potassium (K) was similar in CA with Ra, CA+PM with AS and in CA+PM without growth regulator (2.9%)

Tres sustratos y 3 mezclas artificiales junto con tres reguladores del crecimiento fueron utilizados para evaluar el enraizamiento de estacas apicales de Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (Poelln.) 'Sensation'. Los sustratos, cachaza (CA), peat-moss (PM) y tezontle (TE) se manejaron solos y en mezclas a proporcion 1:1:1 de peso/peso en CA+PM+TE (ME), CA+PM 1:1 y CA+TE 1:1. Los enraizadores comerciales fueron Radix 1500 R (Ra) con acido indolbutirico a 1500 ppm; Rootone F R (Ro) conteniendo 1-naftalenacetamida 0.057% + 2- metil-1-acido naftalenacetico 0.033% + 2-metil -1- naftalenace-tamida 0.013% + acido 3- indolbutirico 0.057%, thiram 4%; y el acido salicilico (AS) en grado reactivo a 10sup-5 M. Los resultados con diferencias altamente significativos se encontraron en el numero de raices (NR) para la CA+PM con Ra (32.5); en longitud de raices promedio (LRP) en ME con Ra (1.44 cm); la exploracion de raiz (ER) en CA+PM sin hormona (6.2 cm); en altura de planta (AP) fue para esta misma mezcla con AS -(5.8 cm); el mayor peso seco promedio (PSP) se encontro en TE con AS (1.25 g); en el contenido nutrimental (%) de nitrogeno (N) fue mejor en PM con Ra (1.19%), en fosforo (P) para ME sin regulador (0.5%) y finalmente el potasio (K) fue similar en CA con Ra, CA+PM con AS y en CA+PM sin regulador (2.9%)
