Some thrips of the family Thripidae (Thysanoptera) from Punjab [Pakistan]

A total number of five species under four genera, i.e. Anascirtothrips Frankliniella Microcephalothrips and Rhipiphorothrips have been identified from the Punjab. Out of these, three species viz., Frankliniella schultzei, Microcephalothrips abdominalis and Rhipiphorothrips cruentatus have already been collected, while two species, viz., Anascirtothrips arorai and Franklinella insularus have been recorded for the first time from Pakistan. A key to the genera and species is provided to facilitate future identifications.
