Evaluation of few black currant cultivars

In three regions of Poland 7 black currant cultivars were compared: Ojebyn, Titania (standards), Ben Sarek, Ben Tirran, Tsema, Titania 2 and Ben Lomond (standard). In two regions there were compared bushes of two last cultivars propagated traditionaly versus in vitro. Phenological data, yield, string, fruit and bush size is presented. Foliage condition in September was also recorded. Early cv. Ben Sarek yielded most prolific and produced large fruit. Ben Tirran was the latest ripening, and yielded moderate crop. There was no significant effect of propagating method on productivity
