Development of tarnished plant bug (Lygus rugulipennis Popp.) on annual ornamental plants

The observations showed that the bugs appeared on seed plantations in the beginning of blooming, and were the most numerous at bloom and seed formation. The tarnished plant bug developed summer generation on seed ornamental crops during the growing season. The period of development of summer generation larvae L. rugulipennis in a given years 1989-91 depended on climatic conditions in July and August. The hydrotermic quotient and climograms were used to characterize climatic conditions
