Studies carried out during three years on ornamental plants revealed eight species of leafhoppers belonging to Cicadellidae family. Empoasca pteridis (Dahlb.) and Macrosteles laevis (Ribaut) were the most common and abundant species occurring on tested plants. The highest density of E. pteridis was found on Tagetes sp. and Helichrysum bracteatum. M. laevis preferred plants belonging to Asteraceae family especially Zinnia elegans and Callistephus chinensis
