Evaluation of new apple varieties

During 8 years 10 foreign apple cultivars were investigated. Soil and climatic conditions have influenced dates of flowering and harvesting time. In spite of that, the ranging of varieties in respect to tested features was the same in all seasons of the most tested varieties. The most susceptible to spring frost damaged flower buds were: Close krotkopedowy, Geneva Early, Lodel and Piros. Marshall McIntosh and Jester were more hardly. Among investigated varieties Geneva Early, Jester and Lodel distinguished with the highest yield of attractive fruit and were superior to standard varieties
