Seed hordein proteins of 20 spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L. subsp. vulgare) cultivars originating from three Yugoslav breeding centers and introduced from other areas were analyzed by polyacrilamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). On the basis of band number (N), relative mobility (Rm) and relative intensity (RI) of electrophoregrams obtained, the cultivars could be clearly differentiated. Although several groups of cultivars gave similar hordein patterns, they could be discriminated by some differences in minor components
