The effects of metabolic endurance on chosen parameters of blood serum and urine of dairy cows under summer, temporary and winter feeds were estimated during the dry period and first 60 days of lactation. Significant differences were affirmed only for the AST level under summer, temporary and winter feeding diets. The increased level of AST over the reference standard confirmed the hepatic affliction at the beginning of the lactation. In addition to AST, the expressive deviations from the reference standard were observed for the concentration of urea in blood. Differences in the content of glucose and urea in blood serum and urine before and post calving were statistically significant at neither of the diets
