The paper deals with evaluating the diffuse run-off impact on water bodies condition. Cited are the results of a number of researches, carried out in small rivers basins, using landscape - hydrological approach as well as the methods of active and passive experiments. The study aims at identifying the laws, which are responsible for forming resource characteristics of running water flow under the conditions of intensive anthropogenic (agricultural) pressure. The paper touches on the scientific - methodical approaches to managing diffuse run-offs. The possibility of accumulating a part of discharge at the catchment area by means of slitting and filling slits with material possesing high moisture capacity is also commented on. The conclusion has been made that it is worth while managing small rivers flow by means of taking measures at the catchment area
