The western rootworm monitoring was made by phytoinspectors of Central and Testing Institute of Agriculture in 1998. The monitoring net was created by 40 pints along the south border. There were used pheromone and Multigard (yellow stick) traps. The Monitoring was made from begining July to end September. The result of Monitoring is very good. The western corn rootworm - Diabrotica virgifera virgifera was not caught in Slovak Republic in 1998
