Study of botanical character of some species of the grassy forage crops of the genus Brachiaria Griseb., Panicum Linn. and Paspalum Linn. was conducted by investigating and collecting the specimens from various parts of the country. All specimens, including those from the herbaria of the Royal Forest Department(BKF), the Department of Agriculture (BK), the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative and the herbarium of the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University were studied. Complete descriptions including the line drawing of plants were made. Three genus including nine species of the grassy forage crops were made. Three genus including nine species of the grassy forage crops were studies, namely: Brachiaria brizantha, B. decumbens, B. mutica, B. ruziziensis, Panicum antidotale, P. coloratum, P. maximum, Paspalum dilatatum, P. notatum. The three genus including nine species of the grass were monocotyledon of the Family Gramineae, Subfamily Panicoideae, Tribe Paniceae and were usually similar.
