Development of farm management for field crops

Agricultural Development Research Center in Northeast Thailand, Research Annex (ADRC Annex), Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University was established in 1984, with the objective aimed at to coordinate with Ministry of Agriculture and cooperatives i.e. Department of Agriculture, Department of Land Development, and Office of Permanen4 Secretary, to undertake the development of agricultural productivity in the Northeast. In the second phase started from 1989-1993, twenty two projects have been studied under the research program entitled "Development of Farm Management". In this report, the emphasis was placed on 1) the research on short maturing field crops such as sesame, castor bean, rice, corn, and soybean 2) the research on green manuring crops such as pigeon pea and 3) the research on multipurpose leguminous tree such as Leucaena leucocephala. The results from these studies have been concluded. The recommendations also have been made for the farmers or innovation at the local level.
