[Nitrogen fixing microorganisms of the buckwheat rhizosphere and their influence on the plant productivity]
1997
Lokhova, V.I. (Institute of Agricultural Microbiology, Chernihiv (Ukraine))
The research is aimed at creating an associative nitrogen fixers-based preparation capable of intensifying the process of nitrogen fixing in a root zone of buckwheat and giving increase in crop productivity. First diazotrophes are isolated from the rhyzosphere, presence of azospirillas is revealed. As a result of the research the azospirilla strain is isolated which gives rise in buckwheat yield and improves its quality. A new asospirilla-based bacterial preparation is developed. Its inroduction resulted in the 15-20 % yield gain
