The application of zeolite preparation "Minazel" in feeding of suckling calves

The aim of this workwas to investigate the effect of zeolite (Clinoptilolit) added at various levels into regular diets for suckling calves on their gain, growth and general state. Zeolite was added into five trial groups: trial group 0-1 - 5g per day; 0-2 group - 6g; 0-3 group - 7 g; 0-4 group - 8g and 0-5 group - 9g per day. Control group was free of zeolite. There were totally 48 calves divided into six groups (8 calves in each group). The trial lasted till the 75th day of life. The results obtained have shown that there were significant differences in average daily weight gain as well as in total gain of calves (body mass) at the end of the trial, the groups that were fed zeolite were better.
